Lots of info below! Please read all before making your selections.
**Please note that now that the sessions have started, you can still select the "all 5 sessions" option and gain access to the recordings of previously held sessions**
Also note that you have to use the drop down menu to select which sessions you would like to attend. If you want to attend more than one session, but fewer than *all* of them, They will have to be selected and added to the cart separately.
For those signing up outside the US or not also buying yarn, select “virtual class” for a shipping option as this does not need to be shipped.
The Autumn MAL (Make-a-Long) is our first opportunity to offer virtual sessions, master classes of a sort, for those near and far. You can select and pay for the sessions you would like to attend here in the online shop, and we will send you the Zoom links for the classes you have purchased. When you check out, the email you use here is the one we will be using for communication. Please note that if you are unable to attend, refunds cannot be issued, and alternative dates cannot be guaranteed.
If you have not attended a Zoom session before, never fear! We will email you a direct link that should work on a computer, tablet, or phone. If you have a Zoom app the meeting and passcode will work to help you in as well.
***This is only for online virtual sessions, held on Sundays. If you would like to attend the in-person sessions on Saturdays, please contact the shop directly as space is limited for those.***
The autumn MAL focuses on knitting : top-down, stranded colorwork yoke sweaters. We have a short list of recommended patterns (see list here, scroll down to Autumn), and we are going to try a couple of new things for the classes, see our guidelines below:
Overview: Rather than have classes be on one specific pattern, they will be on a series of topics related to top-down colorwork sweaters. The workshops will be a combination of talks from the instructor on that day's topics, a question and answer time, and working with students on their projects wherever they find themselves. For example, even if you have not knit through your colorwork yoke, you may still want to attend the workshop on sleeve separation. Assistance is offered as best available in virtual formats.
Pattern: Students can pick one of the sweaters from the short list for their project, or a pattern of their own choosing: the only guideline is it be in the style of the MAL, a top-down sweater.
Fees: 5 sessions with a different workshop topic for each. If you'd like to participate in the workshops, there will be a fee per session, or one sum for all sessions (5 for the price of 4). Please note there are no refunds if you purchase a session and cannot attend.
- This listing is only for the Virtual sessions: $25/session, $100 for all 5 sessions
