Echo Point Shawl Kits* (knit)

Sun Dragon is planning a Knit-a-long (KAL) starting January 4th when we return from winter break, join in the fun! We have selected Echo Point by Lisa Mutch, a wonderful basic symmetrical triangle shawl with a bit of interest, as one side "echos" the other. If you know how to knit and purl, and either know basic increases or are willing to learn them, this is the shawl for you!

We picked this pattern to appeal to all ends of our knitting community, we think it will be a great beginner shawl for those new to knitting, and a relaxed easy knit for those more advanced. There is no deadline or benchmarks to meet, we want everyone to knit at their own pace, and feel free to share progress on social media, or share with us and we can share it on YouTube and social media (only with your permission). Join us on virtual knit nights Tuesday and Friday on Zoom (entry code is the shop phone number, 828 877 3550) to share your progress! And don't worry if you start after January 4th, you can still take part in the fun! Liz may also be dabbling with a crochet version for all those crocheters in our community, though there is no established pattern for that, check in and experiment with her!

The pattern calls for 5 colors, DK weight, about 100 grams of each should give you enough yardage, so those are the kits we have assembled and will continue to assemble! You can always go thicker or thinner with your own choices, scour our website for your favorite colors and select your own combo! If you go thicker, you may want to buy more yarn as we don't know how many yards it will use, and go up on needle size.

Please note, this purchase is for yarn only, needles and pattern are not included: needles may be purchased from us if you need them! It's written for a US 8 circulars, we recommend 40" (or longer, 40" is the longest fixed circular we have in the shop), the shawl will get bigger as you go!
