Rainbow Chickens for WNC

I started making these chickens during the WNC Yarn Crawl this year- the theme was "After the Storm", with a focus on rainbows after rain, our hope for recovery and strength in the wake of Hurricane Helene, that devastated the area in late September 2024.

The chickens are based on the Granny Square Chicken pattern by Sweet Softies, handmade by Rebecca, and $20 of every chicken is donated to BeLoved Asheville, a non-profit organization that continues to focus on Helene relief and rebuilding efforts, especially for the most vulnerable among us.

There are two color schemes, bold or pastel, both with a rainbow palette of colors. I cannot guarantee the order of the colors, or the eye color, only that they will use the bold or pastel palette. I'll keep making them if you keep ordering them! If it says out of stock, check back to see if we restock or contact us.
